Giving options to support Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church
As our world continues to evolve and increasing numbers of people bank, pay bills, and give on-line. We would like to offer the same convenience to you.
Below you will find two links to opportunities for online giving. The first is a program run by the Presbyterian Foundation that will permit online giving directly to Celtic Cross. The second is an app for your smartphone that also will direct funds to Celtic Cross. Each will save you time (and stamps) as you make your contribution. The online option can also allow you to set up automatic monthly gifts.
Online Giving FAQ’s
Q: Is online giving secure?
A: Yes, the site is secure and is managed by Vanco and the Presbyterian Foundation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
Q: What is the benefit of this option?
A: Online Giving simplifies your contributions by decreasing the number of checks you write to the church. No more last-minute check writing or forgetting your envelopes. This option also helps the church by ensuring consistent donations throughout the year, particularly in the usually lower-attended summer months. With online giving, you can also give any time during the week if you happen to miss church on Sunday.
Q: How do I start?
A: Click the “Give Now” button on the top of this page. You will be taken to our Fund Page and from there, you click “Give Now” once more. Then enter your information to make your gift.
Q: What methods can I use to give?
A: The page will accept both direct debit from your checking account or debit cards. We do not recommend the use of credit cards (unless you pay them off monthly) as no one should go into debt to support the church.
Q: Are there fees associated with online giving?
A: There is a small fee of 2% associated with online giving that simply covers the cost of the service. If you are able to cover the fee so that the church receives your entire gift, you may add that percentage onto your total gift amount. If you are unable to cover the fee, the church will cover it.
Q: Are there ways to give online without occurring a fee?
A: Yes. If your bank has an online bill payment service then you can set up your bank to automatically send a check to Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church 11451 E 10 Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48089.
Q: Can I try online giving to see if I am comfortable with it?
A: Yes, you can submit a one-time gift and see how you like it. Or, you may set up recurring payments so that you don’t have to worry about logging in each month or week.
Q: Will I still receive a giving statement at the end of the year?
A: Yes, you will receive a giving statement in the same manner as those who give offline at the end of each year.
Q: Is there an app for giving?
A: Yes. You can give through your mobile device on the GivePlus+ app. Download it on your Apple or Android phone from the google play store. Search for Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church of Warren and create an account/sign in.
How much should I give?
Only you can decide. Presbyterians encourage proportional giving – purposefully setting aside a percentage of your income each year. Our Presbyterian denomination recommends a 5% gift and some find that God calls them to give as much as 10% out of hope and joy for all that God is doing in the world.
What if I can only give a little?
Everyone who wants to be involved in the life and ministry of Celtic Cross is welcome. There are many ways to make a contribution to the Ministry at Celtic Cross. Whatever you contribute (time, talent or money) your gifts will support the ongoing ministry at Celtic Cross and the mission that our congregation is committed to in God’s name.
By each of us sharing our unique gifts to the maximum extent we are able, we fund the missions and programs that this church provides to its members and to the community.
Based on your gifts, Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church can:
- Faithfully plan our yearly operating budget.
- Expand or initiate new programming
- Help maintain and enhance our church facilities
- Sustain Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church’s generosity as it reaches out in mission in this community and around the world
- Provide a safe, comfortable place for our friends at AA, AL-ANON and OA to meet.
- And stay in contact with those unable to attend worship or fellowship activities.
